Week 1: Introduction to the Fundamentals

Class 1: The Core Concepts

  • Introduction to KP Astrology: A brief history of KP and how it differs from traditional Vedic and Western astrology.
  • The Building Blocks: Understanding the 9 planets, 12 zodiac signs, and 12 houses as they are used in the KP system.
  • The Crucial Distinction: The concept of the "Sub-Lord" and its supreme importance in KP predictions. Learn how the sub-lord refines the results of the planet and its star-lord.

Class 2: Houses and Their Significance

  • Houses in Detail: A deep dive into the 12 houses and the areas of life they represent (e.g., career, marriage, health, wealth).
  • The Rule of the 12th House: Understand the principle that the 12th house from any house negates its significations.
  • House Groupings (Formulas): Learn the basic "formulas" or house groupings for specific life events (e.g., job, marriage, education). This is a cornerstone of KP predictive technique.

Week 2: Chart Analysis and Signification

Class 3: The Star and Sub-Lord Theory

  • The Stellar System: Introduction to the 27 Nakshatras (constellations) and their lords. Learn how planets give results based on the nakshatra they occupy.
  • Planet Signification: Learn the process of determining what a planet "signifies" by analyzing its placement in a house, its sign, its star-lord, and its sub-lord.
  • The Tenanted/Untenanted Concept: Understand how the presence or absence of planets in a sign and nakshatra affects a planet's strength and ability to give results.

Class 4: Reading the KP Chart

  • The KP Chart: Learn how to read a KP chart, including the cuspal chart and the planetary chart. Understand the unique KP chart format.
  • Practical Application: Start with a simple chart and practice identifying the significators for a given event, such as a job promotion or property purchase.
  • Case Study: Walk through a live example to solidify the concepts learned so far, connecting the planets, signs, and houses.

Week 3: The Art of Prediction

Class 5: Timing of Events - Dasha System

  • Vimshottari Dasha: A comprehensive overview of the Vimshottari Dasha system and its role in KP astrology. Understand the hierarchy of Dasha, Bhukti, and Antara periods.
  • Connecting Dashas to Events: Learn the key rule for timing an event: the current Dasha, Bhukti, and Antara lords must signify the relevant house grouping for that event to materialize.
  • The Role of Transits: A basic introduction to how planetary transits (Gochar) act as a trigger for events promised in the Dasha period.

Class 6: Horary Astrology (Prashna Kundali)

  • Horary Concepts: Learn the basics of KP Horary, which is used to answer specific questions without a birth chart.
  • The 1-249 Number System: Understand the unique method of selecting a number between 1 and 249 to create a horary chart.
  • Simple Question-Based Predictions: Practice answering simple "yes/no" or "when" questions using the ruling planets and cuspal sub-lords of the horary chart.

Week 4: Practical Application and Refinement

Class 7: The Ruling Planets (RPs)

  • Introduction to Ruling Planets: Learn about the powerful concept of Ruling Planets (RPs) and how they can be used to make quick and accurate predictions.
  • Identifying RPs: Understand how to identify the Dasha Lord, the Lord of the Lagna Nakshatra, and the Lord of the Moon's Nakshatra as Ruling Planets.
  • Using RPs in Predictions: Practice using RPs to confirm the timing of an event or to rectify a birth time.

Class 8: Putting It All Together

  • Integrated Chart Analysis: Bring together all the learned concepts—significators, house groupings, Dasha, and Ruling Planets—to conduct a complete analysis of a birth chart.
  • Real-Life Case Studies: Work through several full-fledged case studies on common topics like marriage, career, and health.
  • Q&A and Review: A final session for students to ask questions, clarify doubts, and review the key principles of KP Astrology. This will prepare students to begin their journey as a basic KP practitioner.
